Day 5 Diffuse map only and RTS Asset

So this morning I continued work on the axe and log scene I started for the diffuse only exercise, and here is the work in progress shots:







And the final renders:



I then started to concept for the RTS asset creation, our class got assigned a fantasy theme and as I was thinking anti-aircraft prior to learning of the theme, I turned it into a fantasy creature instead:


I started to sculpt in Z Brush, but then found out we won't be using normal maps and it will be low poly so its sort of pointless for this challenge:
and here's the base model (which is way too high in Tris):

Now just trying to reduce the tris...
